Breed Notes - 16 Sep 2013
Starting the notes this week with an apology to Mrs Woodger who actually got the reserve best dog at Richmond with Hightimbers Tuppence and not as stated in my breed notes last week. I had taken my results from Higham Press website which had recorded the results wrong, however that has since been changed. So well done. This weekend seen us travelling four hours to attend Darlington CH show where our judge was Mrs Chapman who had an entry of eight with one absentee and found her BOB in the bitch Driftingsky Mist owned by Liz and Lynn with best dog going to Mr & Mrs Barnett’s Hightimbers Sixpence. Reserves were Julie Condrons boy Zwartbos Carisbrooke and my girl Annvad Daimys Princess for Hosarvar. Best Veteran went to Liz & Lynns, Tyehelva super summer of Driftingsky. So well done Liz & Lynn. Hovawarts were represented in the rare breeds who was being judged by Mrs Parry , with Julie Condron and her boy winning the PGD class and going on to get reserve best dog. Mr & Mrs Barnett’s, Hightimbers Sixpence also getting a third in the PGD. Mr & Mrs Gutjahr represented the breed in the PGB class and got a second with Zwartbos Arreton with Anne Travis getting a VHC with Annvad Lady Farica. My girl got a reserve in open bitch. It was lovely to meet up with people as it seems a while since I have been to a show. Liz and Lynn was telling me the good news that their boy Zwartbos Brighstone of Driftingsky achieved his good citizens gold award. Well done, and Ann Travis told me that her new puppy won her class at the Dutch Hovawart club show however the journey to Holland wasn’t good with hold ups on the motorway’s. Well done Ann. The time is now ticking and it won’t be long to the club show and judging seminar and also to Val & Steve Shones next litter of Hovawarts who is due anytime. This will only be the second litter born this year, so an exciting time.
