Breed Notes - 16 Sep 2012
It was lovely weather at Richmond last weekend for our judge Mr Kinsey ( Kitarn ) who had a good entry of 15 with only one absentee, there was three classes scheduled and he found his BOB in Miss Campbell’s black and gold Pines Monet with Best Bitch going to another of the pines kennel in Mrs Christopherson’s black and gold, Pines Chanel. The reserves going to Val Shones dog Minches Jet of Zwartbos and also Val took the reserve bitch with her young black, Zwartbos Chale. Best puppy went to a dog which was bred by Hester and Murray Oxborrow in Belgium and imported by Miss Unger, a black and gold called Kasper van de Hoevermeester. It is lovely to see new puppies and owners starting to show and I look forward to meeting this dog at the club show . Best Rare breed at this show under judge Mrs Sheila Jakeman ( Tanlap )also went to Val Shones bitch Ursine vd Romerweide of Zwartbos. Well done to all. I travelled down to Darlington on Saturday , a four hour drive and the weather turned out to be beautiful . We were second in the ring and started at 10.30 am this time our judge was Mrs Brenda Banbury who had an entry of nine, found her BOB in Liz and Lynn’s black and gold bitch Tyehelva Super Summer of Driftingsky with best dog going to Gill Stockton’s black boy Berkenbos Chinook with reserves going to Mr and Mrs Barnett’s black and gold boy Hightimbers Sixpence and reserve bitch and best veteran going to my blonde girl Annvad Daimys Princess for Hosarvar. In Rare breeds under Mr Gilchrist, Anne Travis flew the flag with Annvad Lady Farica getting RBB and BP, and also took Best Vetran with Annvad Carefree Princess. Well done to everyone. I left earlier than I would normally do, when going to a show yourself, all you have at the back of your mind is the journey home with no one to talk to or share the driving.
