At the West of England Ladies Kennel Society Adrian Bicknell awarded Best of Breed, Best Bitch and Best Veteran to Mrs C and Mr J Mclure’s Kanukalos Burletta VW, who also went onto gain 2nd place in the Working Veteran group under judge Mr E L Ryan. Reserve Best Bitch was Mrs C and Mr J Mclure’s Hightimbers Ticket To Dream at Kanukalos. Best Dog was in the same ownership Pines Mansion at Kanukalos and Reserve Best Dog Mrs K Woodger ‘s Hightimbers Ticket to Moon.
On Friday 24th April The Hovawart Club of GB members had been invited for a lunch at Royal Kennel Club, so all dressed up we had a very good 3 course lunch. It was an extremely interesting day being able to look around the library, photo libary and art gallery. The three ladies who curate these departments were very accommodating and obviously passionate and knowledgeable about their subjects. They had bought all things Hovawart that they had out for us to see. We also got a chance to see the huge Crufts Best in Show trophy which was much bigger than I expected and many beautiful paintings covered the walls. If you are in London it is well worth a visit as it is open to the public.
