At The National Show at Stafford Showground on Sunday 10th May, Mrs Caroline Friends-Rees awarded Mrs C and Mr J McLure’s Hightimbers Ticket To Dream at Kanukalos Best of Breed and Best Bitch. Reserve Best Bitch was Mrs S Hemsworth’s Hightimbers Travel Ticket, Best Dog went to Mrs B Werner-Dellar’s Hightimbers Ticket To Rock, Reserve Best Dog was Mrs K Woodyers’s Hightimbers Ticket To Moon. Best Special Beginner went to Mrs A Loxton’s Puzstai Pandur Wilfred.
On Thursday 14th May is the Scottish Kennel Club Double Championship Show, where The All Breed Championship Show and General Championship Shows take place on the same day in the same ring straight after each other with a different judge of course. Hovawarts after being last in the ring in 2025 are this year first in the ring at 8.30am so an early start for all. The All Breed Ch show is first with Mr K Baldwin in ring 24 with an entry of 8 Hovawarts. Then followed by Mrs P Luxmore-Ball in ring 24 with 8 Hovawarts.
On Sunday 24th May at Bath Championship Show, Mr G Hill has an entry of 4 Hovawarts in Ring 11 judging starts at 9am Hovies are 3 rd in the ring after 21 Finnish Lapphunds and 17 Swedish Vallhunds.
As you can see from the above Dog Shows are all over the UK, all shows as far as I am aware are happy (with a small fee) for spectators and their dogs to attend, if you wish to come along to the show local to you all the Championship Shows with Hovawart Classes are in the Hovawart Club of GB’s Yearbook and on their Calendar or you can find all the details of all the shows on either www.fossedata.co.uk or www.highhampress.co.uk but make sure you look at the schedule to see if there are Hovawart Classes if you wish to meet up with more Hovies and their humans.
