Our Dogs - Top Dog Awards
The Our Dogs Top Dog Awards are an annual points-based competition run by Our Dogs, the weekly canine newspaper. These awards celebrate outstanding success in the dog-show world across multiple categories. Throughout the year, dogs earn points at General and Breed Championship Shows. Points are awarded for achievements such as Best of Breed (BOB), Best Opposite Sex (BOS) and Group placements. At the end of the year the points are verified and the final standings are published in the newspaper. The winners receive awards which are collected from Crufts in March from the respective sponsors.
Prior to 2017 the awards were split between Our Dogs and Dog World newspapers. Unfortunately Dog World ceased trading in 2017 and its Top Dog archives and related historical material are no longer accessible.
